Meet the Board:
Anna joined the Board of Directors in 2022 and serves as the Board President. She has a background in environmental science, forestry, and economics and works at a local land trust in the conservation field. As a volunteer for FNCF, she is excited to create programs for the community to explore and enhance their vocational and artistic skills. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hunting, and backcountry adventures with her dog Bowie.
While I’ve spent my career as a project management consultant who has provided project management and training in the public and private sector for more than 15 years, my latest endeavors have been in giving back to the community and environment that I’m part of. In 2020 I became a certified crisis intervention peer counselor for Community Beyond Violence, and have worked in their office and purged records. I completed my river advocacy training in 2019 and co-facilitated meetings with 20+ river organizations to submit to Governor Newsom coordinated recommendations in a Water Resilience Portfolio.
I joined the Board of Forging Nevada County Forward because I believe the hands are the antennae of the soul and the idea of a Maker City with more self-reliance will make Nevada County a stronger community. I’m looking to bring creative and functional outlets to all our residents and develop an innovative workforce to solve today’s problems.
I grew up making things, assembling things, and taking things apart. My gram and parents were all makers, crafters, and artists of some sort or other. I ended up with an Engineering education and a Manufacturing experience. All along the way making or fixing whatever I needed or wanted.
As a kid I learned to sew, knit, cut, glue, assemble, and re-imagine various objects. Today, I work with wood, metal, fabric, plastic, cars, computers, glass, and other things. A member of the Forge since the inception.
